All of our medical providers have been trained in emergency care and can handle any type of injury, while still understanding the importance of OSHA. SouthStar’s top priority is returning our employees back to work quickly and safely.
DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING
Drug and alcohol testing is a prerequisite for gaining and/or maintaining employment in most industries. Drug/alcohol abuse in the workplace can lower your productivity, revenue, and place other employees at risk of injury. Our main goal at SouthStar is to help provide a safe, drug-free environment for all your employees. Our certified collectors/technicians reliably perform drug testing consistent with DOT standards for either regulated or non-regulated purposes.
Employment physicals can ensure that each employee is fit to perform his/her job duties. With in-house x-rays, vision exams, pulmonary function and respirator fit testing, and vital sign checks, SouthStar Urgent Care is equipped to customize an employment physical protocol to meet your needs. Employment physicals include Pre-employment Routine, Hazmat, Annual, Return to Work, CDL, USCG, OGUK (formerly UKOOA), Crane Operator.
SouthStar offers Onsite Services that are convenient and help save time for your organization. This program is designed to deliver our quality occupational health services directly to the job site or office location.

We accept all commercial insurance plans. A valid ID must be presented with your insurance card at the time of service. If you have any questions regarding your individual or family insurance plan, please visit your local clinic location with your ID and valid insurance card. (view clinic list here)
We accept all Louisiana Medicaid plans and Arkansas Medicaid.
We accept Medicare.
We offer a self-pay option for our customers, all costs will be discussed during the time of service. The total visit cost is determined by services provided for the patient’s specific care plan.
Upfront costs will follow the customer’s specific payment resource case. (This could include applicable copay costs, deductible costs, self-pay costs, etc.)
